Dino Profiles

Profiles are a fun addition to your community, as they can provide in-game summaries about a species, or perhaps serve as a reminder for recommended behaviours you would like to see. You may also use these to create characters with a backstory, be creative!

The profiles page is where you can create, edit, delete and view your profiles.

As the bot stores these profiles, they are also used for commands such as /nest and /dinoprofile.

Benefits of Profiles

There are various benefits to using profiles. Here are some of them:

• The bot stores profiles so that you can access them anytime.
• Nest command is fully customisable with profiles such as Nesting Limits, description, image, etc.
• Any users can view the profiles in any channel just by using the /dinoprofile command.
• Any users can view the profile summary in-game using the related chat command.
• Create teleports based on the Dinosaur Category.

Accessing Dino Profiles

To find the Dino Profiles feature:

1. login into your potbot and Dashboard and select your servers discord.
2. Find Dino Profile in the Features section, and click Config.

Options Guide

Option	Despription
Dinosaur	Select a dinosaur profile to view. Leave it on Select a dinosaur... to create a new profile.
Dinosaur Category	Enter a dinosaur category name. eg: small herbivore, mythical, ect.
Dinosaur Diet	Select a diet from the available options: Carnovore, Herbivore, Omnivore.
Nesting Limits	The number of eggs a player is able to hatch if using Potbots nesting features.
Dinosaur Nickname	This option allows you to call the character a nickname. eg: Ano for Anodontosaurus
Emoji	Add an emoji to your dinosaur profiles
Dinosaur Image	Enter a dinosaur Image URL by copy and pasting image link
Summary	Summary for the dinosaur profile to display in the discord and in-game. Must be between 1 and 1000 characters long.
Fields	Add extra information to your profiles.
Color	Select a color for profile.
Preview	Here, you can see a preview of what your profile look likes

Creating a Profile

1. Go to the profiles page by clicking on the Dino Profile button either on the sidebar or the main discord server page on the Dashboard.
2. A dropdown menu should be at the top of your server cards. Click on the dropdown menu and select Select a Profile... (it should be by default on this option).
3. Fill out the information for the profile. You can also add a description and an image for the profile. The red asterisk indicates that the field is required.
4. The Create Profile button should be enabled once everything is filled. Click on it to create the profile. Then click on the Save button to save the changes.
5. You should now be able to see the profile on the dropdown menu. Select it to view the profile. And that's it!

TIP

Make sure to Save your profile after you have made changes to it. Otherwise, your changes will not be saved.

Editing a Profile

1. Go to the profiles page by clicking on the Dino Profile button either on the sidebar or the main discord server page on the Dashboard.
2. A dropdown menu should be at the top of your server cards. Click on the dropdown menu and select the profile you want to edit.
3. Edit the information for the profile.
4. Once everything is filled, click the Save button to save the changes.

Profile Image

To add an image to your Dinoprofile, you will need to use the images media link. First, add the image you want to use for your dinoprofile to a channel in your discord. Try to ensure the channel you use wont be deleted.

You can then get the media link by:

• Computer - right clicking on the image and selecting copy link
• Mobile - hold your finger onto the image and selecting copy link

Paste the images copy link into your Dinoprofile image section in the dashboard.

Deleting a Profile

1. Go to the profiles page by clicking on the Dino Profile button either on the sidebar or the main discord server page on the Dashboard.
2. A dropdown menu should be at the top of your server cards. Click on the dropdown menu and select the profile you want to delete.
3. Click the Delete Profile button to delete the profile and then Save the changes.
